Terms of Use
Last updated: 5 August 2026
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Aleksandar Dzavric, micro-entreprise, SIRET 94471075500017, 47 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France ("we", "us"). By using Skiv you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Skiv.
1. What Skiv is
Skiv scans your face on your iPhone, measures a set of cosmetic skin attributes, and builds a routine from what it finds. It also gives you an AI coach you can ask questions about skincare and grooming.
Skiv is a cosmetic wellbeing product. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, not a dermatologist, and not a substitute for professional medical advice.
2. Health — read this one
Skiv does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. The numbers it shows describe the appearance of your skin, nothing more. They are not a medical assessment and must never be used as one.
If you have a skin condition, a lesion, a mole that is changing, a persistent rash, pain, or anything that concerns you — see a doctor or a dermatologist. Do not use Skiv to decide whether something is serious, and do not let a Skiv result delay you seeing someone. A cosmetic score cannot see a melanoma.
Cosmetic products can cause reactions. Patch-test anything new, follow the manufacturer's instructions, and stop immediately if you react. You use products at your own risk. You are responsible for checking a product's ingredients against your own allergies and sensitivities, whatever Skiv shows you.
3. Who can use it
You must be 16 or over. By using Skiv you confirm that you are.
4. Your account — and how you can lose it
Skiv signs you in anonymously. There is no email, no password, no name. The key that connects this phone to your profile is stored on the phone itself.
That means something you need to understand before you rely on it: if you lose the phone, you lose the account. We hold nothing that identifies you, so there is nothing we can match you against and no support request can recover it. This is a deliberate privacy trade-off, and this clause exists so you meet it here rather than on the day it happens.
You are responsible for what happens through your account on your device.
5. Paid plans PLACEHOLDER
Skiv is a paid product, sold as a subscription through the Apple App Store.
- The price, billing period and renewal terms are shown in the app before you pay, and in your App Store account afterwards.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You cancel in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions — not in Skiv, because Apple, not us, manages the billing.
- Payment is taken by Apple. We never see your card details.
6. Refunds and your right to change your mind
App Store purchases are refunded by Apple, not by us: reportaproblem.apple.com.
If you are a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a digital purchase. Because Skiv gives you access immediately, you are asked to expressly consent to that immediate supply at the moment of purchase, and doing so waives the withdrawal right for content already delivered — as EU law allows.
7. The AI coach
The coach is generated by an AI model. It is useful, and it is not a professional. It can be wrong, and it can be confidently wrong.
- Treat what it says as general cosmetic guidance, never as medical, pharmaceutical or dermatological advice.
- It will not answer medical questions, by design. Do not try to work around that — the limit is there for your protection, not ours.
- Your conversations are never stored. Close the thread and it is gone.
- Coach usage is capped per day to keep the service available to everyone.
8. Your content, your data
Your scans, your photos and your profile are yours. The photos never leave your device. You grant us only what is needed to run the service: permission to process your profile so the coach can answer you in context. Nothing more. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy.
9. Product recommendations DORMANT
Where Skiv suggests a product, the suggestion is made on fit first — what matches your profile — and never because of a commercial arrangement.
Some links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Where that is the case it is disclosed next to the link. We are not the seller: you buy from the retailer, on their terms, and they are responsible for the product, the delivery, the warranty and any refund. We take no payment for products and hold no stock.
10. Acceptable use
Do not: reverse-engineer, decompile or attack the app or its backend; use automated means to drain the coach or evade its limits; scan anyone else's face without their consent; use Skiv to build a competing dataset or service; or resell any part of it.
11. Our intellectual property
The Skiv app, name, design, scoring system, content and software belong to Aleksandar Dzavric. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. Nothing more is granted.
12. No guarantees
Skiv is provided "as is". We do not guarantee any particular result for your skin, that the scores are accurate for every face, lighting condition or skin tone, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of Skiv — including any reaction to a product, any outcome of a routine, or any decision you took on the basis of a score or a coach answer.
Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of (a) what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) €50.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, and your mandatory rights as a consumer.
14. Ending it
You can stop at any time: delete your profile in Settings → Account & data, and delete the app. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms as the product and the law evolve. Material changes are announced in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Skiv after that means you accept them.
16. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. Disputes go before the Tribunal Judiciaire de Chambéry — except that if you are a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection law may let you bring proceedings in your own country of residence, and nothing here takes that from you.
Before going to court you can contact us at support@skiv.app. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
